In this video, I share my love for the haunting Main Theme from *The Revenant* by *Ryuichi Sakamoto.* This piece has captivated me with its intense emotional depth, dramatic silences, and minimalist beauty. Its ability to create a sense of tension and release through subtle dynamics is simply mesmerizing.
The movie is deep and profond as its music. This is the best exemple where silences create music.
For fun, I've tried to recreate this music, on my Korg Kronos 2 with only its factory sounds.
In this cover, I used strings sounds, relatively close from the original soundtrack, but you can also play my arrangement on a simple piano. Just pay attention to respect the silences.
This arrangement is perfect for beginners and intermediate players who want to explore this cinematic masterpiece.
