If you happen to be Peter Jackson, I'm in need of a job.

One of the most popular compositions on my channel is this theme I created for a hypothetical film version of Mortal Engines:

In October of last year, that hypothetical became a reality. I decided to compose something to accompany my favourite character: Shrike, a resurrected mechanical soldier. And, like Shrike (SPOILERS) my attempts were ripped up and resurrected twice in my frustration over appropriate tone. The right mix of intimidation and pathos was hard to find.
Finally I ended up with this, which still feels a little off, but is far better than my old Mortal Engines theme in every respect. At least I think so.
