André Delvaux's first film, based on Johan Daisne's novel - who propelled the revival of Belgian cinema in the 1960s. A film restoration done by CINEMATEK in 2021 and made possible thanks to A Season of Classic Films an initiative of ACE - Association des Cinémathèques Européennes, with the support of the EU Creative Europe MEDIA Programme.
