We’ve all been watching Wendy struggle under this guardianship for years—and honestly, many of us thought it would’ve ended by now, with her finally out on her own, or at the very least, out of the memory care unit in her assisted living facility. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened.
It seems like every time Wendy, her friends, or her family try to have her released, they’re met with a closed door.
Now, her ex-husband has filed a lawsuit against more than 40 defendants—including the judge and the guardian currently overseeing her case. In this lawsuit, he lays out how Wendy was placed into the guardianship, the many people who allegedly stole from her, how she was forced to fall out with her son, and how she even lost money tied to his future home.
This story is heartbreaking—but it needs to be told.
