Its not Skill Based Matchmaking. Some games have messed that up but what it ultamitely comes down to is the core game design. The way to tell is if FFA social is casual or competitive. Now yes this will always be competitive but will it be sweaty?
Sweaty and competitive are two very different things. Remember that.
But yeah this was my take on this. I'm tired of seeing these players talk about how sweaty players are or how sbmm ruined their life. Maybe in cod. Maybe in general. But if you are not willing to get better than stfu. Jk. But don't expect to go 15-3. Sorry ah player.
