Is it Donald Trump? PErsonally, I don't think so
A short script, so it's here:
Scott Bessent was on Fox news doing his job today*, I've linked it if anyone wants to go on and take a look at the very definition of a sycophant - that's a big word for many people but basically means an ass kisser which is exactly what Bessant sounds like when he tells the Fox News viewers what he thinks of Donald Trump's leadership.
But there's one term he used in his ingratiation that really struck a chord with me: he called Donald Trump the "Peace President".
I'm not going to argue, the rest of the world knows what degree of peace this president is bringing with attacks on boats in international waters; attacks on the sovereign nation of Iran; threats to peace pretty much all over the globe and the expectation of a Nobel prize thwarted - that's not really my business, I just happen to disagree with the fact that some people call him the "Peace President" on the basis of not actually stopping any wars as yet and actually starting a couple. Many in the US will disagree with me but they're not watching my videos, so I won't worry too much about them.
No, what I'm really going to point out is very simple - if he's the President of Peace and he really wants to be seen as such then China has given him a perfect opportunity - China has a virtual monopoly on the resources needed to make most of the heavy armaments in the world and has placed restrictions on them.
There are different layers of restrictions - for medical or humanitarian use, no one is restricted, no matter where they are, the US, Israel, Russia, Iran, it doesn't matter, if they want Rare Earth Elements for development of medical equipment, then they will get them - just apply, tell China what the products are and there will be no trouble getting all the REEs you need.
Then there's dual use - industrial and agricultural drones might be a great example to use here. If you are building drones for agricultural purposes, automated airborne delivery programs, fire fighting applications or rural regions where accessibility is limited use drones to deliver heavy items then these are great initiatives. But those drones could be converted and used for weapons - so, each application will be considered, if a company is building military drones and applies to build agricultural drones, they can get REEs but will need to demonstrate that the equipment built is for the purpose intended and this is done through checks and balances - build them for the wrong purposes, you're off the list of drone manufacturers getting China's Rare Earth Elements.
Finally there's military use and this is where Trump has an opportunity to win the Nobel Prize next year - he needs to applaud China's stance and immediately stop complaining about it - Bessent even said it in his interview - amazingly without a trace or a hint of irony, moments after saying Trump is the Peace President, he said this policy affects our Military Industrial Complex - of course it does you buffoon Bessent, that's the entire point - you can't build more bombs and, if you have a president seeking peace, why isn't that president taking the same track as China - no more bombs means no more wars and no more wars means peace - the Peace president should be enormously grateful for this but he's not, because he's not the peace president at all.
Think about it - if he is the Peace President, surely he needs to admit that restrictions on one of the key components of heavy armaments is a good thing - if he isn't the peace president and wants more war, he's going to need more REEs and he's going to have to find another source because, the real Peace President, the one who has never started a war, the one who has called on the international community to end wars and the one who has now made it virtually impossible to build machines of war isn't Donald Trump, it's Xi Jin Ping, now, remind me again who should get the Nobel Peace Prize next year?
