My initial motivation to get organized was aestheticsβ I was sick of the mess π₯΄ and wanted a space that looked neat, tidy, and beautiful. π But the biggest benefits I've gained from maintaining a tidy home run so much deeper than just the surface level look of things. β¨ Here are just a few of themβ¦
π Getting organized encourages gratitude. When we know what we own and love the things we have, we are content with less and thankful for the items we've chosen to surround ourselves with.
π Getting organized fosters confidence. When our spaces feel organized and under control, we feel more in control of the rest of our life as well.
π Getting organized can improve our family relationships. There's a greater sense of calm in our household, less fighting over who is in charge of what chores, and an overall feeling of welcome, comfort, and safety.
(Hosting people in a neat and organized home is a lot easier too, so relationships with others improve as well! π₯°)
I could go on and on!
The reason I spend so much time talking about organization is because I have seen firsthand what a total game changer it can be-- for outer appearances, yes, but in the health of our mindset as well! π
