The real challenge in AI is not smarter machines, it is braver and more empowered people
In my recent conversation with Timo Elliott, Innovation Evangelist at SAP, he made a powerful point, “The biggest barrier to successful AI adoption is us. When technology projects fail, it is never the technology, it is always a people problem.”
This resonated deeply. AI capabilities are accelerating fast, SAP’s Business Suite already offers hundreds of embedded AI use cases, real-time planning, and connected data across finance, supply chain and workforce. The enablers are here to help leaders pivot fast, run lean and grow strong.
Yet meaningful value happens only when organisations build the mindset, trust and skills to embrace AI confidently. Leaders need to create psychological safety, invest in capability building, and demonstrate active AI usage themselves. When people understand how AI supports their work, decision-making becomes faster, collaboration improves, and innovation moves from reactive to proactive.
This is the first clip in a short series exploring people-powered transformation, AI-ready culture, and practical enterprise value with SAP.
