I’m hiking in Tennessee and sharing about Io’s Steeple Mountain, a 7-km-high marvel of our solar system. Although we can't hike it today, I am going to show you a high resolution animation of this incredible mountain. In April of 2024, image scientists from JPL created a 3D model of Steeple Mountain based on images from the Juno spacecraft. Explore this unique formation and stunning views from Jupiter’s moon!
