Milton marched across central Florida on Thursday after making landfall on the state's west coast hours earlier, whipping up deadly tornadoes, destroying homes and knocking out power to millions. Although residents had been urged to evacuate or face life-threatening conditions, but some nevertheless chose to stay behind. France 24 spoke to one of those who decided to brave the storm's impact.
