Wow, 80 years of Thomas (Railway Series standards). Feels like it was just yesterday when Wilbert Awdry told a story about Edward, Gordon and Henry to his poor sick son Christopher Awdry.
I would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who made Thomas & Friends stand out in our hearts.
Along with Britt Allcroft and David Mitton for first coming up with a UK children's show perfect for television. You'll be missed, lads.
And most of all, I should like to thank the two people that have made Thomas possible and couldn't have been without them...
Wilbert and Christopher Awdry. Thank you guys for creating these stories that would be adapted to the show many years later. Thank you for making Thomas a huge success. Thank you, for everything. 143
