Yep, this mounting system was an optional option back in the day, making a 2U rackmount MT-32! It's essentially a case replacement but still, I think it's pretty darn cool, despite having apparently lived a rough life. The thing I'm not sure of is how much it originally cost, and whether it was sold as a separate kit or came preassembled.
