Oven Bottom is nestled in the Berkshire Downs near Aston Upthorpe. It is a public access area comprising a valley in the chalk downland, with a rich diversity of flora and fauna, particularly butterflies. It is a heat trap in the summer and a sheltered spot in the winter. But it doesn't have the number of people visiting that it used to; in fact you likely won't see anyone else. This may be good for the nature to thrive away from humans, but only certain people can get to see it. This video explains why.
