What is God saying to His people in this changing world?
Looking at Daniel, Babylon and the empires throughout Scripture, Emma and David reveal a crucial distinction between the kingdoms of this world and the Kingdom of God. Human empires are temporary, but God’s Kingdom is everlasting.
The Church must not become so attached to comfort, buildings, political power or earthly systems that it forgets its true identity.
This is a time to hear God afresh, understand the times and seasons, and become the people God has called us to be.
As nations shake, the question is not simply “Who is going to fix this?” but:
How do we become a people who love Jesus in the midst of turmoil?
How do we care for the least, the poor and the vulnerable?
How do we model the security of God’s Kingdom rather than place our hope in the kingdoms of this world?
This is a challenging and timely conversation about empire, prophecy, leadership, the Church and the eternal Kingdom of God.
