A darker approach to celebrating Mothers' month? I'm in! But hey, this is NOT FOR EVERYBODY. I honestly had no idea about the plot of this book when I started reading it (as usual). This is a very heavy, emotional, even traumatic book. Motherhood is rewarding, it's fun, it's full of love, but not always. It's sad, unfortunate, but losing connections happen. Minus the creepy side of the story (which I wish is not happening in real life, but I honestly can't tell), Motherhood is never easy and I think we need to talk about the challenges more. Maybe not in May (cos I want a happy May lol) but definitely an important matter to discuss.
This may not be a fun or light way to spend a reading time for the month of May, but if you are brave enough to start reading this book, please keep an open mind that they are also Mothers, some of their thoughts or feelings may not make sense to you but it doesn't mean they're not real.
