What is the purpose of life?

Pirkei Avot teaches: Hatkein atsmacha - fix yourself. Life’s meaning is found in growth, self-improvement, and transformation.

That is why Yom Kippur is one of the happiest days of the year. It gives us the gift of teshuvah, the opportunity to repair, to grow, and to fulfil our deepest purpose as human beings.

In this Yom Kippur reflection, Chief Rabbi Dr Warren Goldstein explains how teshuvah connects us to the essence of life itself, the joy of change, the joy of becoming.

Key themes:
– The purpose of life in Pirkei Avot
– Yom Kippur and teshuvah
– Hatkein atsmacha: fix yourself
– The joy of growth and transformation
– Jewish wisdom on meaning and change

Wishing you a Gmar Chatima Tova, may you be inscribed for blessing and growth.
