NOTE: Bring on the dislikes babes. But in all seriousness, I am expecting to receive a decent heap of dislikes on this video, seeing as Allexx is well respected by his fans and by fellow creators. I’m sure some of those dislikes will be from those who actually disagree with the video and have legitimate criticisms towards it, and I’m also expecting a decent amount of dislikes to be from those who can’t take criticism. Either is fine, the comments always give me a good laugh anyways. Keep in mind, like I said I don’t hate Allexx, he seems like a nice dude even if he has lied in videos (I cannot say for sure whether this is intentional or unintentional), but I’m guessing most instances of poor research and lies were just honest mistakes, he doesn’t appear to be a bad guy. Despite me saying this I’m sure some people will be convinced otherwise and think that I have a personal vendetta against him, but hey, I tried. Meet ImAllexx, the YouTube commentary channel with almost 300,000 subscribers, who over the past year or so has really moved up in the ranks of YouTube and now has become one of the most respected people in the community, being friends with the rest of my favorite Commentators like… Wild Spartanz… and… WillNE… three people who make just… just fantastic videos. But hey, I’m not here to criticize Alex's friends, I mean you all saw the video title, this is all about our main man, the skinny goblin himself. Now I have actually been watching his content for quite a while, like many people did I found his channel when Pyrocynical gave him a shoutout in late 2016 on his channel, which really got the ball rolling for him, and as everyone who gets shouted out by pyro starts rapidly growing, the ImAllexx snowball grew until he passed some of his peers and became one of the most respected people in the community, with the majority of people really liking his videos and holding him in high regard, with him probably being the third most respected in the main community other than Pyro and Colossal is Crazy, respect which I feel is undeserved.
At first when I was watching his videos it was exciting, I had never seen anything like the content he was making and it was refreshing, seeing that little patreon card come on at the end of each video made me feel sort of like a part of something, watching a small channel grow and essentially explode in popularity, seeing all of these people supporting him, it felt good, great even. But soon I grew to resent his content, and just 6 months after I started watching his channel, I started to just despise it completely, and now I just cannot stand watching even a few minutes of one of his videos, for multiple reasons which I will explain today. I actually was starting to enjoy a few of his videos as of late, but upon further inspection I realized that he was still making the same shit.
Obviously I do not HATE Allexx, or him as a person anyway, if I’m being honest he actually seems like a pretty nice guy. He’s very sociable and fun to be around when he live-streams, his charity livestream where he raised a few thousand dollars for charity is obviously a noble thing to do, and I was even in a discord call with him once during The Right Opinion’s 10,000 subscriber special (great channel by the way, you should check him out), and to me he seemed like a perfectly nice guy. I know people like the best YouTuber in the world Kavos have criticized him in the past for the whole Zaptie situation, but frankly I don’t know enough about the situation, and chances are there was a lot going on behind the scenes that you and I don’t know about, so I’m not going to critique him for that in any way. I DO NOT HATE him as a person, HE IS NOT a bad person, in fact he’s done a lot building up other channels. But to me, the way he creates content is Lazy, Uncreative, Boring, Annoying self-righteous, Poorly Researched, and often times very hypocritical. If you don’t care about everything I have to say, as this will be a very long video, I have linked timestamps in the description if you want are only interested in hearing one of my points. So without further ado, let’s get into why Allexx is one of the worst members of the popular YouTube commentary community.
