NOTE: Wow… it’s been 8 days since my last upload (I’ve taken longer breaks before, but this is the longest in like 3 months). I apologize, I was on vacation, and then returned and had lots of work to do (I still do have lots of school work to do today before I go back to school) but whatever, here it is, it’s a shorter one than normal but I didn’t want to stretch out the length or anything as always, quality over quantity. The script was pretty detailed on this one because the topic was very specific and niche in many ways, so I hope you enjoyed this different style video. Next video ( in 1 week ) will be about Illumination Animation, because I hate them with a passion, and after that no new video for probably 2-3 weeks, due to the looming threat of mid-term exams. I would love to sit on my ass and make videos all day, but unfortunately I have school sports, a small but still existent social life, all things that I need to tend do. Hopefully you’ll be understanding, if not then I don’t really care, because your opinion alone does not dictate how I run my channel. This is for fun, It shouldn’t be stressful or a pain in the ass to do. Ever. Thanks for reading this, sorry to disappoint if you were expecting a face reveal in this video, bye.

While there are many aspects of YouTube that interest me and leave me very intrigued over the idea of them, one idea which has always perplexed me the most is the concept of a face reveal, the idea or act of showing your audience your identity, and by identity I mean really the most barebones possible way for somebody to determine who you are, your ugly mug. Many people on YouTube, including me have chosen to hide their identities, using the idea of online anonymity to keep their personal life and their face separate from their internet persona, a wise move from my point of view. On this website, and the internet in general you never really know who you’ll be meeting, this isn’t me being an obnoxious parent or FOX news telling you that your kid is going to be sexually assaulted because they have animal crossing, but it’s really just something to consider: Do you really want your face out there on the Internet? Do you really want everyone here to know what you look like, and potentially be able to find out more personal information about you?
Without even revealing their face, various creators like IHE have essentially had witch-hunts held by various internet denizens who want to discover who they truly are, in the case of IHE this happened before he showed his face on twitter or the JAR media podcast, these people had basically no information about him other than knowing that his name is Alex, and they managed to harass him and family members close to him to the point where he suffered from severe anxiety and made a video addressing the topic. This is something that is NOT ok to do, I understand that you like these creators, you admire them, and you look up to them, but trying to hunt them down and doxx them for everybody online to see is not only an invasion of personal privacy, but it’s also just an overall shitty thing to do. I personally don’t know what I would do if I was doxxed, it’s unlikely that anybody would be able to find any information on me, but chances are somewhere on the web somebody said my real name, and it COULD potentially be revealed.
