In Hawaii, we often hear politicians and the news talk about "Hawaii's working families" but what does this actually mean? Is this based on income? Living situation? Work status? Lifestyle? Because this phrase is used so much, I think it's important to think about what this actually means and, more importantly, who this actually means, as a lot of policies and programs are supposedly targeting this group. However, if this group is ambiguously defined, I'm afraid that the help to the general public will be less impactful.
