The last video I made on Graham was about 4 years ago, I’ve been posting videos alongside him for 5 years now. When I make a video on him, it's beucase I’m genuinely interested. He posted a video talking about how he is no longer engaged, and I wanted to go over some points.

1. Not engaged ( only so many ways you can say the same things )
- I’m 2 years Graham Junior on the financial aspect, his 2 years mine also since I’ve been - posting for 9 years on YouTube seriously
- So although he may be more successful than me, it doesn’t mean I don’t have any advice I could give him
Remaking content, and limited amount of content ( 7 years of work, over 1k videos )
- It is why most YouTuber default to news, updates, and trends
- It is simple and the basics work
- People stumble, watch, and move on
- Nothing new to talk about
Example:
- Dave Ramsey is the older person doing this
- And he doesn’t make videos like this, his content is about other people
- And he uses a hammer for everything
- I used to think you couldn’t use 1 tool for every person but you can when the tool works
- And for finance, it’s the same thing
What I think:
- He is right
- For me what works is reading and making vids about that
- Answering individual questions
- But even for me, reading the same finance book has gotten a little repetitive
- But whenever I stop, I start doing stupid things
- So I think it's an important task, to rinse and repeat
2. Just got married
- Invest in marriage not financially but with knowledge
- You will have different wants and not be on the same page
- It’s a forever commitment
- It should not feel like it's you and her, it should feel like it's we
- That’s hard for a lot of smart people because they want prenups, they want security, and when someone is used to doing things their own way for a long time ( they just quit when things get hard )
Ps. My favorite part about my wedding was the people, that’s all I remember for the most part
My advice:
- It seems like the dumbest thing ever, but not having a prenup and being fully committed to someone makes the difference
- And taking that risk is worth it
- And combining all your finances is worth it
- It's not like the person can just go do whatever they want
- But you put systems in place
3. Social Media Addiction
Justification because we work it
Massive distraction
I’m close to going cold turkey honestly
- Getting a phone with only WhatsApp
- And using my Kindle more
- It’s a trash way to spend life
4. Advice: read your money or your life
- Work is not just the things that make you money
- I think we have so much ambition to achieve things that won't last
- And we can often have what we need today, but instead keep chasing more stuff
