The Novel Nomad | The Prize Fighter | Mini Review | Adelaide Writers' Week 2019 @TheNovelNomad | Uploaded February 2019 | Updated October 2024, 7 hours ago.
A powerful story of the traumatic journey of a former child soldier escapes to become a refugee to eventually settle in Australia, but that is not the happy end – rather the heightening of his personal and mental struggle.
A strong debut novel from Future D Fidel, and one that I would highly recommend in the current political climate.

“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.” – J.D. Salinger
