What happened to the priceless art the Nazis stole during WW2?
From Paris museums and Jewish family collections to hidden salt mines in Austria, the Nazi regime looted hundreds of thousands of artworks across Europe. Some were meant for Hitler’s planned museum in Linz. Others vanished into private collections, Soviet trophy rooms, or were never found again.
This is the story of the Nazi-looted masterpieces hidden underground, the Monuments Men who helped recover them, and the search that still continues more than 80 years after the war.
