This session breaks down what a “pipeline” actually is without the intimidation. At its core, a pipeline is simply the path an idea takes to become a finished product. Through a practical, hands-on demonstration, this presentation shows how pipelines act as a shared language between VFX, game art, coding, and AI; not as barriers, but as tools for efficiency and collaboration. Culley and Kerry will demonstrate how a few smart connections between code, 3D assets, and AI tools can create professional-grade workflows. You’ll see how small scripts can replace hours of manual work, how a single asset can move between film and real-time engines, and how AI can support (not replace) creative decision-making. The session culminates in a live, rapid build of a simple pipeline, from AI concept to 3D asset to real-time engine, showing how working smarter gives artists more time to focus on what matters most: the work itself. Suggested audiences: Game Art, Computer Animation, Game Development, Simulation Engineering students.
