Synopsis: Created by a perfectly powerful experiment, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup explode into action as the new kids in Townsville! But after one enthusiastic game of tag, they nearly destroy their beloved city. Now called social freaks, they turn to the mysterious Mojo Jojo for help, but this sinister simian has other plans - big plans - like leading an army of evil monkeys to destroy the world! Trivia:
• The first Cartoon Network movie to have a theatrical release.
• Released in theaters accompanied with the Dexter’s Laboratory short Chicken Scratch
• According to the Hollywood Reporter, the principal voice actresses Cathy Cavadini, Tara Strong and Elizabeth Daily went on strike because they felt they weren't being paid enough to do a movie, so Cartoon Network threatened to replace them with more popular voice actresses for the movie as well as for the TV series. Fortunately, a deal was made and the actresses were able to reprise their respective roles as Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup.
The Copyright Laws of the United States recognizes a “fair use” of copyrighted content.
