Capac Bible Church recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of Pastor Kemble preaching his first sermon. In addition to the local congregation, friends and family traveled from as far away as Indiana and Missouri to be present for the occasion. It was a truly blessed time.
The Lord called him to be a preacher during Youth Camp at Alto Frio Baptist Encampment in the Texas hill country in July of 1976, and he did not waste any time. The Sunday evening service following Youth Camp was always a student led service at his home church, and he was the preacher that night. It was July 25, 1976.
When he preached that first sermon, the Bible text that he used was Matthew 5:41, and in this message, preached fifty years later, Pastor Kemble returned again to the same text.
“And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.” Matthew 5:41
