I’ve been thinking a lot about how much certainty we’re expected to show as artists — especially online, where it can feel like everyone else has a plan and knows exactly what they’re doing. This session is the opposite of that. I walk into the studio without a roadmap, start with collage and paint, follow what’s catching my eye, and let the work slowly unfold. Some parts move forward, some get covered up, and some surprise me completely.
