Well... we shut the "official" podcast down, but I wasn't quite finished chasing this rabbit.
In this post-rant aftershow, I wander a little farther off the beaten path and dig into some of the history that didn't quite make it into the main episode. We talk about the complicated relationship between early Christianity and Judaism, the rise of anti-Jewish attitudes within parts of the early Church, how centuries of persecution shaped Jewish responses to Christianity, and why it's so important to understand historical context before passing judgment on either side.
As always, this isn't about watering down convictions or pretending every belief system teaches the same thing. It doesn't. I still land exactly where I've always landed: Yeshua HaMashiach is the promised Messiah, the Son of the living God, and the only way to the Father. But I also believe followers of Yeshua should be the first people willing to be fair, honest, and charitable when discussing those who disagree with us.
So this aftershow is less of a lecture and more of a conversation. Think of it as pulling up a chair after the microphones are supposed to be off, pouring another cup of coffee, and kicking around a few more thoughts that didn't quite fit into the episode.
Sometimes the rabbit trails are where the most interesting conversations happen.
