In this interview, we hear from some of the editors and contributors of "The Politics of Social Inclusion: Bridging Knowledge and Policies Towards Social Change", a book that looks at concepts and processes of social exclusion and social inclusion. It traces a number of discourses, all of them rooted in a relational power analysis, examining them in the context of the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development 2030 with its commitment to “leave no one behind.”
The book is a result of collaboration between the Comparative Research Programme on Poverty (CROP) of the International Science Council (ISC), the UNESCO Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Programme, and the University of Bergen (UiB). It includes chapters based on ethnographic field research in Kingston, Port-au-Prince, La Paz, Kampala, Beijing, Chongqing, Mumbai, Delhi, and villages in northern India.
