The Pocket Adding Machine is a small slide adder.
It is intended for adding British currency, and has columns for pounds, shillings, pence, and farthings.
To add a digit to any column, put the stylus in a slot next to the digit, and slide it all the way down, but if that would cause the digit to overflow you instead slide it up and then move the stylus left and down to execute a carry to the next column.
