Sony officially revealed PlayStation Home for PS3 during their 2007 GDC keynote. The former President of SCE Worldwide Studios Phil Harrison talked about Home would be part of Game 3.0 -- a new era of social experiences in the modern age. And PlayStation wanted to be apart of that and lead in the space with PS Home on PlayStation 3. So during that initial keynote we saw a version of Home that never actually got a wide release. By the time Home went into an open beta, they completely re-did the apartments, plaza, game room, movie theatre, etc. They even got rid of the virtual PSP! But today, we've got the original 0.41 GDC build to explore in all it's glory. It's even fully working online! So you can hop on with your friends, courtesy of the fine work done by Home Laboratory. It was definitely a trip looking at this again. And experiencing it in FULL 1080p glory. And that ever so wonderful framerate drop here and there. It wouldn't be PS3 without dropping some frames.
