In this video I give my honest review of Christopher Penczak’s book: The Plant Spirit Familiar - Green Totems, Teachers & Healers On the Path of the Witch. I love this book & have found it to be a most enjoyable read. The book is not just about spirit familiars, plant Devas, & Shamanic Witchcraft, it’s also a formulary & a functional grimoire. This book contains virtually everything you need to start approaching plants from a magical/sorcery/witchcraft/shamanic standpoint.
Alongside this book, I suggest reading book one of the Carlos Castaneda series: The Teachings of Don Juan - A Yaqui way of knowledge.
I give "The plant spirit familiar" a 10/10. I was pleasantly surprised at how much information is in this book. There are rituals, recipes for potions, & various other useful pieces of information. This book should be in every plant lover's library. The book does a good job making a complicated subject easy to understand. I have to give credit to the author for making this book not only information, but fun to read. I also really enjoyed the descriptions the author gave for the various plants mentioned in the book. I found the meditations & rituals in the book to be very effective. There is a very easy to follow meditation towards the beginning of the book for aligning your consciousness with the Horned God & the Earth Mother, allowing for a connection to be made to your animal totem(s).
Want to the learn how to cast an effective magick circle? This book will do that. Want to learn how to perform energy work on plants? This book will teach you. Want various recipes for potions? This book, has it? Want historical references to plant familiars & familiar spirits? This book contains that information.
