An Airbus A350-1000ULR flight test aircraft flew from Melbourne to Toulouse without stopping on July 27th and 28th, 2026, staying airborne for more than a full day. It's the ultra long range jet Qantas ordered for Project Sunrise — and the flight was made with an empty cabin, an extra fuel tank behind the passenger deck, and a routing longer than any commercial service the aircraft will ever operate.
