Procopius in great detail recalls the Plague of Justinian that spread throughout the world in AD542. This was the first appearance of Bubonic Plague. Procopius recalss the attitudes, attempts to explain the causes of as well as the symtoms and fallout of the Black Death on the Eastern Roman Empire and Constantinople.
