The Pixel 11 Pro is so close. Google has been shifting the focus away from big hardware upgrades and toward software and AI, and I think the Pixel 11 Pro is a really good example of where smartphones are headed. But after spending time with it, I found myself both really impressed by some of Google's ideas and frustrated by some of the hardware decisions.
The new AI features like Proactive Assistance, Rambler, and Magic Capture are interesting, but they aren't going to sell the phone on their own. What makes the Pixel stand out is how all of these little features come together to make the phone feel smarter and more helpful. And then there's the stuff Pixel has always done well: the clean software, great cameras, smooth animations, and some genuinely useful Pixel-exclusive features like Now Playing, Call Screen, and Hold for Me.
But Google isn't getting a free pass from me. The graphics performance is still a weak point, charging isn't exactly fast, and I think Google needs to keep pushing its hardware if it's going to charge flagship prices. So, do I recommend the Pixel 11 Pro? Let’s find out.
