Chef Daniel Castillo's journey to opening Heritage Barbecue in San Juan Capistrano has taken a lot of twists and turns, from leaving HS to raise a child to developing his own BBQ style to fighting a shut down in Garden Grove by innovating a new smoker. With the help and support of his wife, Chef Daniel let's the "only thing he's ever been good at" be the thing that connects him to both his roots and his community.
