Thomas Tew was one of the first celebrity pirates to emerge from the American Colonies. Though his place of birth is still debated, he is often claimed by Rhode Island.

This video will cover the early pirates of the Pirate Round to include Tew, Want, Culliford, and Raynor as well as various figures in the American Colonies between the years 1688 and 1694.
