In episode 7 of 'The Photographer's Story' series, I've decided to tell some of my own stories behind one of my favourite woodland images known as 'Afraid of Time'. All the local woodlands that I've found and the trees I've discovered have been very important to my growth as a photographer. More important is the profoundly positive impact that they've had on my personal growth, but no single tree has been more significant than this dead oak tree. This evocative character is symbolic of what I love about my approach to local woodland photography. The times I've experienced at this tree and the surrounding woodland are some of the most memorable, exciting, scary and poignant. Perhaps one day I'll share the rest.
