Alessandra Melas collaborates with the University of Sassari (Italy), where she defended her Ph.D. dissertation concerning causal realism in Quantum Mechanics. Her research mostly focuses on the History and Metaphysics of Science, with particular interest in causation and chance. She is currently working on metaphysics of coincidences (see What Are Coincidences? A Philosophical Guide Between Science and Common Sense with P. Salis, 2023). She is a student in Psychology and a teacher at the High School level of History and Philosophy. He has served as chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology and then as chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
