Every big surf trip comes with the expectation of perfect waves - and that's exactly what I had in mind for our recent surf trip to the Philippines.

But what do you do when those expectations are met with 5 days of howling onshore winds and rain? What do you do when you've placed all of your hope in those perfect waves to help re-live some old childhood memories with your brother? What do you do when nothing is happening as you expected it to?

In the end you're confronted with a hard decision. Either wait around hoping for something that just isn't happening, or move on and start something new...something better. Which will you choose?
