Several villains in the 1966 Batman TV series had the nerve to steal the Batmobile, the Riddler, Bookworm, Catwoman, King Tut, and the Sandman. The Mad Hatter tried but was foiled by the Anti-Theft Device, but only the Penguin had the gall to steal it and re-brand and rename it the "Birdmobile" (he also called it a black vulture!)
