This video comes from the heart—a way to express the emotions and tell the story of caring for our Nan in her final weeks last year. My hope is that anyone who has experienced something similar can connect with this story and find peace, connection, or affirmation.
It’s also a love letter to my Athlon HP laptop, my steadfast companion through it all. Many have asked why I’m so attached to this seemingly average laptop, and this video helps answer that. As one of our Patreon crew humorously put it, “So you basically trauma bonded with it?”—and honestly, they’re not far off. The HP and I have weathered a fair few challenges together; it’s been reliable through it all, even if only at low settings and framerates.
This video also invites you to reflect—do you have a PC you share a similar bond with? A machine that, like the HP, may not be the most remarkable but was there for you when it mattered. It’s a tribute to how, in our darkest times, tech can provide quiet support when others can’t. While it’s no substitute for human connection, it often goes uncredited for getting us through.
I’d like to thank my family—my Uncle, Aunty, Father, Cousins, Nephews, and Nieces—for allowing me to share this story on Green Ham Gaming.
