Today we are at The Packing District -- a subdivision of Orlando -- adjacent to College Park -- located on Princeton Street between Orange Blossom Trail and John Young Parkway.
This is my fourth video of The Packing District. I was last here about nine months ago and since that time many updates have occured which I will talk about today.
This project will eventually include 3,500 residential units. One million square feet of retail and office space, a regional park and an urban farm.
Today we are looking at what projects have been completed, what's coming soon, and what's happening in the future.
The Juice Stand is a 1,800 square foot building that pays homage to the citrus industry's history in the area.
Tenants will include Foxtail Coffee, Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream and Ravenous Pig Brewing Company. The Juice Stand should be opening very soon.
Publix Super Market is making great construction progress -- scheduled to open sometime later this year. Publix, is an employee-owned American supermarket chain with approximately 1,350 store locations across the Southeast.
Kitty corner across the street there is a mixed use residential, retail and office space building under construction. Unfortunately there is no date yet as to it's completion.
The Packing District master plan includes a new regional park and network of plazas each connected by pedestrian and bike trails that stitch everything together. The Packing District's plazas will include a mix of industrial, commercial, and residential homes.
Just up the street is the YMCA, The Brix Luxury Townhomes, Orlando Tennis Centre and Community Parks.
The YMCA is open for business and gym membership starts at around $29 a month. This thirty three thousand square foot state of the art facility utilizes high end wellness technology, has a boutique fitness studio, large swimming pool and provides services for all generations to enjoy.
The Orlando Tennis Centre construction looks completed and should be opening very soon. It includes seventeen courts and approximately 100 parking spaces. Annual membership should cost around $300. Hours of operation should be from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekends, and 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
This multi-use biking trail will eventually connect to the coast-to-coast trail. For now the trail begins at Orange Blossom Trail on Princeton Street and cuts through The Packing District on its way to downtown Orlando. I'll be riding it soon so you can look forward to that video.
These luxury townhomes by Toll Brothers are currently for sale. They include four different models ranging from five hundred thousand to eight hundred thousand dollars depending on the size and amenities. As of today - five homes are move-in-ready according to the Toll Brothers website.
A massive food hall is coming to The Packing District in 2024. It will be located on the southeast corner of Princeton Street and Orange Blossom Trail across the street from Publix and The Juice Stand.
Additionally, a Dog Park is coming for Big and small dogs. It will be located on the corner of Princeton Street and Texas Avenue.
