This is the opening track of the split called 'Born', with Quatrefoil from Croatia. There is a fantastic story to the album, of how friendship (in real life as well) can begin in different countries through music, leading to even more creativity. The video is made from 4 separate short videos I made back in one week during 2016, and the sound is made from their audio, with added 2023 synth and voice. The initial videos were captured during a week where I had plenty of oportunity to travel to different cities in England; some for gigs, some just to explore. For quite a few years, those videos (and a few others) were just in folders from the past, but in 2023, now I live in Czech, I reopened them and decided to make something with them.
This video represents how hazy memories can become (especially with the synth layers), how colourful the mind can make them, how something at the time can be fun but its importance isn't realised until much later. How this video looks will now define how I interpret and perceive that week, in the same way that looking at a photograph is what defines the way you remember that period of time. Do you remember those actual moments or the photograph?
