In this original (?) tag I want to champion a literary group I don't think is regarded enough. In these instances everyone knows of The Inklings and The Bloomsbury Group but who knows or talks about The Angry Young Men or a literary group you enjoy and wish were better known?

For your own what groups them? Is it a pre-existing group or do you think of these people as being linked? What links them? Time period? Genre? Style? Are they part of a movement or a reaction to something? Do they actually congregate or did they? Do they begrudge having to rub shoulders with the others from this same set?

Hopefully this will be enjoyed by those that take part and I look forward to hearing others views.
