Portland Photographer/Writer Jim Lommasson collaberated with Zaharah Adams (formerly Zahra Alkaabi) for a public Art showing in October 2001 in Portland Oregon. This vidoe includes pictures and art of and by Iraqi refugees.
Zaharah has worked to empower Iraqi families resettling in the Portland Metro Area. Her [project] "Save Refugees" efforts center on easing the transition for newly arrived Iraqi refugees, coalition building within the wider community, and raising awareness about the plight of Iraqi refugees in the Middle East and understandings between the Iraqi and American people
Jim provided photograps from Oregon's new Iraqi immigrants who have movedto Porland since 1990.
