For those who know I never got scared of any villains in fictional stories not even horror villains (except for Satan for religious reasons) but the only villain that is fictional that truly scares me is AM (Allied Master computer) from I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. It was a book by Harlan Ellison which was then a very old video game and AM was voiced by Harlen Ellison.
"I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" is a post-apocalyptic science fiction short story by American writer Harlan Ellison. It was first published in the March 1967 issue of IF: Worlds of Science Fiction. It won a Hugo Award in 1968. The game itself of the same name was also a 1995 point-and-click adventure game developed by Cyberdreams and The Dreamers Guild, co-designed by Harlan Ellison and published by Cyberdreams.
The plot is that It takes place in a dystopian world where a mastermind artificial intelligence named “AM” has destroyed all of humanity except for five people, whom he has been keeping alive and torturing for the past 109 years by constructing metaphorical adventures based on each character's fatal flaws.
The reason why AM is the only fictional villain that scared me is because the idea of a super computer making it's own choice and hating humanity only to murder every single one and leaving only 5 to torture for 109 years is REALLY scary even for me. And I am happy that it did not happen.
