10 years ago today I started my YouTube channel. I was 13 years old and had no idea what would come of it or how it would be so influential of my life & career. I can't even explain how life changing it was for me. Including the amazing people I met along the way and the incredible people who continue to support me by commenting, liking, favoriting my videos and/or subscribing to my Patreon.π€ It means a whole lot more than you know and Iβm touched to know that my videos can move and affect people in unbelievable ways.
But to say I am "celebrating" this date with this video would be the wrong term. 2020 into 2021 were some of the hardest years of my life - mentally and physically. I had sudden and crippling anxiety and depression. I was either working on school, going to work, or sleeping my way out of feeling anything, mostly contributed to isolation and lockdown restrictions. This does not even begin to scratch the surface of what others may have been feeling in this time, this was just my personal experience.
My grandma passed away and I had to say goodbye to her through a window due to COVID restrictions. I miss her terribly. Some days it still does not feel real to me and I'm still processing.
I think this video is more for me to help with coping more than anything. But it is also to everyone out there who can relate to feeling anxious, loss, depression, etc from our time in quarantine. I think it would be wrong of me to not address all of these feelings that I know I and many other people had and are still experiencing to this day. I hope things turn up for us and we can back to some sense of normalcy.
