"In a year of chaos and disruption and lack of control, it is right for us to name the thing empire cannot take from us, our agency. The power to name what God has done. The ability to tell the truth about what we’ve seen and known. That’s what Paul does when he stands before Agrippa. He doesn’t control the outcome, he doesn’t have political power or freedom, but he has agency in his story. And friends, the same Spirit that gave Paul the courage to bear witness before kings is the same Spirit who helps us bear witness in our context."
