Spring weather is unpredictable, and merino wool is one of the few fabrics that actually handles that well. It's insulating when it's cool, breathable when it warms up, and comfortable enough to wear all day without thinking about it.
What I don't hear people talk about enough: merino genuinely doesn't smell between wears. That might sound like a small thing, but it completely changes how you approach packing. Fewer pieces, more versatility, a much lighter bag. I'm thinking about this a lot right now as I plan what I'm making and bringing to Paris.
