I've learned to always add liquid seaweed when water propagating my Monstera cuttings. I think this is the one best method to water propagate your Monstera cuttings. It has helped maximize my root growth when making more plants.
In my last video we compared water propagation with water, a pre-rooted pothos cutting in water, and with liquid seaweed fertilizer. While I didn't notice that any of these methods were significantly better with a Pothos; the Monstera is a whole different story. If you want to faster, longer, thicker, and stronger roots this might just be the one best method to propagate your Monstera cuttings.
